Israeli pharmaceutical company Can-Fite Biopharma, together with one of the largest Israeli medical centers, will soon begin clinical trials of a new drug for liver cancer. Preclinical trials showed high efficiency of the new drug in fighting the disease.

Liver cancer counts 250000 new diagnoses annually, and is specially prominent imong people with Hepatitis B and C, and those who abuse alcohol.

The new drug effectively identifies and destroys cancer cells, without any harm to healthy cells in the liver.
